England fought back to hold Norway to a 1-1 draw at half-time in their FIFA World Cup quarter-final after Jude Bellingham cancelled out Andreas Schjelderup's opener early Sunday (Bangladesh time).
Norway broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when Martin Odegaard teed up Schjelderup, who rifled a shot in off the post from just outside the box. The goal was briefly reviewed by VAR before being awarded.
England responded deep into first-half stoppage time as Anthony Gordon slipped a clever pass into the area for Bellingham, who calmly finished first time into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.
Jordan Pickford had earlier denied Erling Haaland with a brilliant save, while Norway's Orjan Nyland produced key stops to keep out Harry Kane. Kane also had a goal ruled out for offside moments before the half-time whistle.
After an entertaining opening 45 minutes, the quarter-final remained evenly balanced at 1-1 heading into the second half.
