Police arrested Masukur Rahman, chief adviser of controversial e-commerce platform E-orange, from Dhaka yesterday (30 June).

A team of Gulshan Police Station, with assistance from Kotwali Police Station, picked him up from Old Dhaka around 12:30pm based on a tip-off.

Niaz Mehedi, additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Media and Public Relations Division, confirmed the matter.

Police said Masukur was wanted in multiple cases and faced 21 arrest warrants in connection with the cases filed at different police stations across the country.

He was later produced before the court concerned, the DMP said.
