Bangladesh's net foreign exchange reserves stand at $27.93 billion, while gross reserves total $31.72 billion, according to the Bangladesh Bank.
"The latest reserve figures were released after the settlement of $1.48 billion in Asian Clearing Union payments for May and June," Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and spokesperson Arief Hossain Khan told reporters today (7 July).
The ACU is a regional payment arrangement among several Asian central banks that facilitates the settlement of cross-border trade transactions.
