A fistfight broke out in Georgia's parliament on Friday (26 June) during a question-and-answer session after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze presented the government's annual report, Reuters reports.

According to Civil Georgia, MPs from the ruling Georgian Dream party and opposition For Georgia clashed after Giorgi Sharashidze criticised Kobakhidze over his perceived role during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's recent visit.

Footage showed lawmakers physically confronting each other as parliamentary security removed opposition MPs.
