The government today reconstituted the five-member selection committee to recommend the names of one Chief Information Commissioner and two Information Commissioners in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2009.
The committee is headed by Appellate Division Justice Farah Mahbub. Its other members are Cabinet Secretary, Bhola-1 lawmaker Andaleeve Rahman, Pirojpur-1 lawmaker Masud Sayeedi, and National Press Club President Hasan Hafiz.
The committee will recommend to the President the names of two candidates for each vacant position, based on the majority decision of the members present at its meeting.
