Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today (27 June) visited the graves of his parents after returning home from his first official overseas tour to Malaysia and China.
He went to the Mausoleum Complex inside Zia Udyan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar at 12:15pm and offered Fateha at the graves of his father, former President Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
Standing beside the graves, Tarique Rahman recited Surah Al-Fatiha and offered munajat seeking eternal peace for their souls.
Earlier, the Prime Minister returned home last night wrapping up his maiden foreign visit since assuming office, during which he held a series of bilateral meetings and attended official engagements in Malaysia and China.
