The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (4 July) forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning at many places across the country. 

According to a BMD bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning flashes are likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

It said a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Feni and Chuadanga and it may abate in some places.

The day temperature may fall slightly and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The sun will set at 6:50pm today and rise at 5:16am tomorrow in Dhaka, the bulletin added.
