Highlights:
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has accused the United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of collusion, claiming Abu Dhabi supported recent US military strikes against Iran in exchange for trade concessions from Washington.
In a post on social media platform X, Gharibabadi referred to a newly released document by the US Department of Commerce that eases export control regulations and upgrades the UAE's trade status.
He alleged that the policy change was granted "in return for its support of military aggression against Iran."
Describing the document as an "official admission from Washington" and a "scandal document" for Abu Dhabi, Gharibabadi said the UAE bears direct international responsibility for its alleged role.
"The UAE must be held accountable," he wrote, warning that the alleged actions carry legal consequences under international law.
