Two teenage workers were killed after a truck carrying bricks overturned into a roadside ditch in Brahmanbaria's Kasba upazila this morning (29 June).
The deceased were Mashuk Mia, 18, son of the late Arab Mia, and Arman Mia, 17, son of Forhad Mia, both residents of Sarail upazila of the district.
The truck driver and his helper were injured in the accident.
According to Sub-Inspector Abdur Rahim of Kasba Police Station, the truck was transporting bricks from a local brickfield to Chargach at around 7:30am when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Mandarpur in Badair union.
It caused the vehicle to plunge into a roadside ditch and overturn, he said.
The two labourers, who were sitting on top of the bricks, died on the spot, the SI added.
Locals rescued the injured driver and his assistant and sent them to Brahmanbaria General Hospital for treatment.
