Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has allocated nearly Tk20 crore from his discretionary fund for the construction and development of mosques, graveyards and Eidgahs in each constituency represented by opposition lawmakers, excluding city corporation areas.

Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir disclosed the information while making a statement during the budget session of parliament today (29 June).

The sitting of the second session of the 13th Parliament (budget session 2026) resumed at 10:31am with Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad in the chair.
