Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar is fully fit and available ahead of Brazil's Fifa World Cup round of 16 clash against Norway, with the veteran forward now capable of playing a full match after recovering from a right calf injury.
Speaking before the knockout-stage encounter, Ancelotti acknowledged Neymar's desire for more playing time, saying it is a natural attitude for any professional footballer.
When asked whether Neymar was ready to start and complete the match, Ancelotti replied that the forward is fully capable of doing so.
He added that the forward's vast experience allows him to control the rhythm of a game and that Brazil will rely on him whenever the situation demands.
The Italian coach also praised Neymar's contribution off the pitch, describing him as a highly respected figure within the squad.
Ancelotti said the forward has trained well throughout the tournament and remains a key member of the team because of both his footballing quality and his professionalism.
Neymar has featured only once at the tournament so far, making a 14-minute substitute appearance in Brazil's group-stage victory over Scotland.
Despite his limited involvement, Ancelotti said the 34-year-old has recovered completely and is ready to play a full 90 minutes if required.
