Croatia and Ghana will meet in a decisive Group L encounter at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday (27 June), with both sides within touching distance of the Fifa World Cup 2026 round of 32.
The match kicks off at 3am early Sunday (BST).
Croatia revived their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Panama after opening the tournament with defeat to England.
Zlatko Dalic's side knows victory will guarantee qualification, while a draw is also expected to be enough to keep the 2018 runners-up and 2022 third-place finishers in the competition.
Ghana, meanwhile, remain unbeaten after collecting four points from their opening two matches. Carlos Queiroz's side frustrated England in a disciplined goalless draw after edging Panama 1-0, with their organised defending proving one of the tournament's biggest surprises.
Another positive result would secure progression, while victory could even send the Black Stars to the top of the group if England fail to beat Panama.
Croatia will once again look to the experience of captain Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic to control the midfield, while Ante Budimir is expected to lead the attack after scoring the winner against Panama.
Ghana's hopes rest on another resilient defensive display, with Thomas Partey anchoring midfield and forwards Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew and Antoine Semenyo providing the attacking threat on the break.
With qualification at stake and neither side willing to give an inch, a tightly contested battle is expected between two teams who know a single result could define their World Cup campaign.
