The battle for Group K honours takes centre stage on Saturday (28 June) as Portugal face Colombia at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

Both teams have already progressed to the Fifa World Cup 2026 round of 32, but victory would secure first place and potentially a more favourable route through the knockout stage.

The match kicks off at 5.30am on Sunday (BST).

Colombia arrived at the summit after back-to-back victories over Uzbekistan and DR Congo, leaving Nestor Lorenzo's side needing only a draw to finish top of the group.

Built on a disciplined defence and a confident attack, Los Cafeteros have quietly emerged as one of the tournament's most consistent teams.

Portugal, however, comes into the contest with renewed momentum after a commanding 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan.

Roberto Martínez's side recovered impressively from an opening draw with DR Congo, and victory is the only result that will see the 2016 European champions leapfrog Colombia into first place.

Cristiano Ronaldo once again headlines Portugal's attack after becoming the first player to score at six Fifa World Cups.

The veteran striker will be supported by Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto, while midfielders Joao Neves and Vitinha have given Portugal control and energy in the centre of the pitch.

For Portugal, manager Roberto Martinez enjoys the luxury of a fully healthy core ahead of this high-stakes encounter.

Colombia possess plenty of attacking quality of its own. Captain James Rodriguez continues to dictate play, Luis Diaz remains a constant threat from the left, and Daniel Munoz has added goals from full-back. If fit, striker Luis Suarez is expected to lead the line.

With top spot and a potentially more favourable route into the knockout stage at stake, two of the tournament's most in-form sides are set for a high-quality contest in Florida.

Probable XI
Portugal: Diogo Costa; Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Renato Veiga, Nuno Mendes; Joao Neves, Vitinha; Pedro Neto, Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix; Cristiano Ronaldo(c).
Colombia: Kevin Mier Vargas; Daniel Munoz, Davinson Sanchez, Jhon Lucumi, Johan Mojica; Gustavo Puerta, Jefferson Lerma, Jhon Arias; James Rodriguez(c), Luis Suarez, Luis Díaz.
