Several parts of Dhaka were waterlogged today (10 July) after a spell of heavy rain around noon disrupted traffic and caused difficulties for commuters.
The capital had largely remained unaffected by the flooding that hit many parts of the country following days of heavy monsoon rain and upstream runoff.
Rainwater accumulated on roads in low-lying areas, slowing traffic and forcing commuters and pedestrians to wade through ankle- to knee-deep water.
Vehicles were seen moving slowly through the waterlogged streets.
The photos were taken from the Motijheel and Paltan areas after Jummah prayers.
