An assistant maintenance engineer at the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has been suspended for uploading the results of the Primary Scholarship Examination 2025 to the official web portal before their authorised release.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education issued a notification today (10 July) saying the action was taken against Md Mehtab Kayes, the official in question.
According to the notification, the suspension was imposed under Section 12(1) of the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018, following allegations of misconduct.
The ministry said the official uploaded the examination results to the web portal on 9 July before they were officially released by the appropriate authorities and without following the required security protocols.
The suspension took effect from 9 July, the date of the alleged incident, the notification said.
During the suspension period, Mehtab will receive a subsistence allowance in accordance with the applicable service rules.
