Police arrested a total of 116,725 people conducting operations across the country between 1 May and 12 July this year.
Of them, 32,908 were arrested during a special operation launched across the country, while the rest, 83,817, were arrested in connection with other criminal cases and routine police operations, according to Police Headquarters.
Police recovered 243 firearms, 2,313 bullets and cartridges, 88 magazines, 43 crude bombs, 2 kg of gunpowder, 503 locally made weapons, 18 weapon parts, 17 weapon-and-bomb-making tools, and 10,300 chocolate bombs during the drives.
The recovered firearms included 76 pistols, 30 shooter guns, 33 LGs, 18 revolvers, 50 guns, 15 pipe guns, four shotguns, two rifles, two submachine guns (SMGs), 12 air guns and one pen gun.
Law enforcers also seized 7,640,276 Yaba tablets, 8,284 sachets of heroin, 3,186 bottles of Phensedyl, 6,835 bottles of foreign liquor, 354 bottles of locally made liquor, 5,336 sachets of cannabis and other narcotic substances.
Police filed 14,157 cases and arrested 20,439 people in connection with the drug recoveries.
