Saudi Arabia sought strengthened bilateral cooperation to enhance Bangladesh police capacity as its Ambassador here Dr Abdullah Zafer H. bin Abiyah today paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir at the Police Headquarters.
During the meeting, the Saudi Ambassador discussed enhancing mutual cooperation with Bangladesh Police, business security strategies, verification of rumours and misinformation, combating human trafficking, and other security-related issues, according to a Police Headquarters press release.
He also expressed interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation to enhance the capacity of Bangladesh Police.
The IGP emphasized the importance of regular dialogue, exchange of best practices, and information sharing between senior police officials of the two countries.
He also sought Saudi Arabia's cooperation in providing training on cyber security, combating human trafficking, strengthening the healthcare capacity of Bangladesh Police, community policing, and other security-related fields.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Police were present during the meeting.
