The government has formed a five-member cabinet committee headed by Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam to review and finalise the draft of the Cyber Security (Amendment) Act, 2026.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard today (2 July).
The other members of the committee are Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Jahir Uddin Swapan and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman.
The committee will review the draft of the Cyber Security (Amendment) Act, 2026 and provide necessary recommendations.
