The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has revoked its previous directive to preserve three specific books in the libraries of all government primary schools across the country.

The decision was announced in a notification issued by the ministry's School-1 Branch today (6 July).

The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Rowshan Ara Poly, said the directive issued on 3 June 2026 to preserve a set comprising "President Zia: Rajnoitik Jiboni", "Begum Khaleda Zia: Jibon O Songram", and "Shobar Agey Bangladesh" in the libraries of all government primary schools had been revoked.

The director general of the Directorate of Primary Education has been instructed to take the necessary measures in this regard.

Copies of the notification have also been sent to the relevant minister, state minister, adviser, secretary and senior ministry officials.
